BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT:
The subject Botany was incorporated as one of the fundamental essential subjects in 2013 with honours. From the academic session 2013-2014, the institution got recognition from RDE, Sambalpur with 32 Honours seats with letter no: 1755/RDE, Dt.17.04.2013 and also got affiliation from Sambalpur University in self-financing mode with Letter No. 02557/ASW, Dt.20/6/15. Every year the inspection team from the Sambalpur University come for departmental academic verification. From the time of its inspection the department moves on its path of success to achieve academic excellence. The department is equipped with three faculty members. Our Teachers Are Dedicated, Hardworking and Committed for Quality Teaching and quality development of students.
Vision:
The continued well-being of the common man through the study of plant sciences and to impart innovation teaching, value added learning and quality research to enable Botany students for handling social challenges through creativity and competency.
Mission:
- Its mission is to apply conventional as well as non-conventional tools to understand plant process, development of human resource with hands on experience in the frontier areas of Plant Sciences.
- Establishment of linkages with National and International Institute for betterment of students of the Department.
